Olivia and Colt met at their mutual friends’ destination wedding in Branson, MO. Prior to the wedding, their mutual friend Jenn asked Olivia if it would be ok for Colt to share a cabin with them. Olivia being the go-with-the-flow person she said, “Sure, that sounds great.” All the while, Jenn thought Olivia & Colt were friends since they had so many mutual friends. Word got around to the bride and groom who both immediately thought Colt and Olivia were going to hit it off. Olivia was very resistant to the idea of dating anyone at that point in time and kept insisting she wasn’t interested. After sharing a cabin for three nights and spending time with Colt, she realized the bride and groom just might have been on to something. When they got back to Nashville, Colt asked Olivia on a date and the rest is history.

While in Rosemary Beach, FL for the 30A Songwriter’s Festival, Colt, with his buddies, pulled off an amazing, romantic proposal. The plan was for Colt’s friends to put a bottle of champagne, two glasses, and one card in a specific spot on the beach just before sunset and then find a place to hide so they could photograph the proposal as it was happening. Olivia had no idea Colt was going to propose as they were walking down to the beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset prior to dinner at The Pearl. Colt read the beautiful card to Olivia, got down on one knee, and before he could even get the whole question out, Olivia said, “YES!” After spending a few minutes on the beach, they walked up to the restaurant for dinner. The hostess greeted them and took them to a back room. As she opened the curtain to the room, Colt’s friends started singing “Wonderful Tonight” which was the song they first danced to at the wedding where they met. Olivia burst into tears and couldn’t believe everyone was in on this beautiful moment. They hugged their friends, shared a moment of prayer, and then everyone left so they could enjoy a romantic peaceful dinner before the chaos of wedding planning began.

They chose the beautiful Kukua Restaurant to celebrate their special day. Bego from Kukua did a beautiful work with the set up and decoration and everything was perfect. We are glad at HDC Photo – Huellas del Caribe to have been chosen by Olivia and Colt to punta cana wedding photographer.
