His path to the Caribbean was anything but ordinary. Born and raised in Paris, Arnaud studied marketing before trading the City of Lights for the energy of New York, where he worked at a major record label in the heart of Times Square. But a restless streak and a simple belief, that life is too short to stay in one place, kept pulling him forward. A visit to Punta Cana as a tourist turned into something he never expected: a home. More than two decades later, the Dominican Republic is where his own story, and thousands of others, continues to unfold.

He named his studio Huellas del Caribe. Huellas is a Spanish word for the traces and imprints we leave behind, the lasting mark of a moment, which is exactly what his photography sets out to preserve. As more couples from the United States and Canada found their way to him, the studio became known simply by its initials: HDC Photo.
