Frequently Asked Questions

When should we schedule our engagement session?

Most couples schedule their engagement session 3 to 12 months before the wedding, especially if they want to use the photos for save-the-dates, wedding websites, invitations, or other planning details. That said, there is no perfect timeline. We have photographed engagement sessions over a year before the wedding, just a few weeks before, and even a couple of days before the celebration. The best time is whenever it fits your plans and gives you a chance to slow down, enjoy the moment, and celebrate this chapter together.

How long does an engagement session last?

One hour is our standard engagement session and it covers one location at an unhurried pace. Two hours give you room for a second location, a change of clothes, or a start on the beach that finishes with the last light of the day. If you are choosing between the two, think about how many places you want in the gallery rather than how many photographs.

How many outfit changes can we bring?

As many as you like, in any session. The only thing worth knowing is that the clock keeps running while you change. On a beach or around a resort, finding somewhere to change and getting ready again takes a good part of ten or fifteen minutes, and that comes out of your shooting time. In a one-hour session that is a noticeable slice. If a second look matters to you, the two-hour session leaves room for it without anything feeling rushed.

How many photos will we receive?

Between 25 and 100 edited photos, depending on how long a session you book. An engagement gallery usually ends up with a mix of wide frames that show where you were, closer portraits, and the in-between moments while you are walking and talking, which tend to be the ones couples use for their save the dates. Everything arrives in a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads.
