Editorial and Documentary Photography

Your Jamaica Wedding Photography

Your Jamaica wedding photographer turns shared laughter, tears of joy, and the moments in between into a story you can hold. For one day, the love you share becomes the occasion everyone has come to celebrate. You get to see your own joy reflected in the faces of the people who know you best.

At HDC Photo, we create editorial portraits and documentary photographs that carry the warmth of the celebration. Our approach to Jamaica wedding photography draws on two decades of experience and an understanding of the island shaped by the weddings we photograph here.

In the years to come, these photographs will be among the loveliest gifts you have given yourselves. They will be a familiar reminder of the day you began this chapter together. We would love to hear how you imagine that beginning.

Where we photograph weddings in Jamaica

01

Weddings in Montego Bay

Montego Bay combines an international airport with a broad choice of coastal resorts. For couples bringing guests together from abroad, it is a practical area to consider. If your celebrations take place within one property, look at how the preparation rooms, ceremony space and reception connect. Their layout matters when planning photography coverage and time with your guests.

02

Weddings in Negril

Negril's long beaches and cliffs offer distinctly different settings along Jamaica's western coast. If you are drawn to an open sea backdrop and evening light, consider the ceremony and portraits together when choosing your schedule. A ceremony close to sunset can leave limited daylight afterward, so the timing needs to reflect the photographs you would like.

03

Weddings in Ocho Rios

Around Ocho Rios, gardens, tropical foliage and waterfalls give the north coast a different visual character. For couples considering a garden, villa or estate wedding, greenery can bring depth and texture to portraits. When assessing a setting, look at the light beneath trees and the space available for photographs with your family and guests.

Our philosophy

Our Approach to Jamaica Wedding Photography

Your story shapes our work as your Jamaica wedding photographer, starting with the little things that made you choose each other. We follow the celebration discreetly, with an eye for its most heartfelt moments, leaving you free to be swept up in the laughter, the embraces, and the happiness of having everyone you love together. For portraits, we find flattering light in Jamaica's tropical surroundings and offer gentle prompts, giving you a moment to breathe it all in together. Your photographs hold the love that brought you here and the wonder of standing beside each other at the beginning of everything still to come.

Jamaica wedding photography FAQ

Which parts of Jamaica do you cover for weddings?

We photograph weddings everywhere in Jamaica, including Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and destinations beyond the main resort areas. Whether you're celebrating at a beachfront resort, a private villa, or an intimate countryside venue, we're happy to join you.

How far in advance should we book our Jamaica destination wedding photographer?

Most of our couples reserve their wedding photography about nine months in advance. We recommend reaching out as soon as your date and venue are confirmed to give you the best chance of securing your preferred coverage. If your wedding is sooner, get in touch and we'll happily check availability.

Will our resort allow an outside wedding photographer?

Your wedding coordinator is there to help with all the venue details, including permission for us to photograph your day. Any outside photographer fee is paid directly to the venue, separately from our packages. We're happy to help along the way.

What are the best wedding venues in Jamaica?

After photographing weddings at dozens of venues across Jamaica, we especially love Round Hill, Half Moon, and The Tryall Club in the Montego Bay area. In Negril, we're drawn to the coastal romance of Pattoo Castle, The Cliff Hotel, and Rockhouse Hotel.

Sandals Dunn's River is a favorite in Ocho Rios, while Trident Castle, Sandals South Coast, and Princess Senses The Mangrove complete our personal top ten across the island. Each has its own character, offering a different backdrop for the celebration you imagine.

How much does a Jamaica wedding photographer cost?

Pricing depends on the hours of coverage, the size of your photography team, and whether you'd like to include videography. Share your wedding date, venue, and a few details about your plans, and we'll send you our complete packages and pricing. We're happy to help you choose the coverage that fits your celebration.

How do we reserve our wedding date?

Send us your wedding date, resort or venue, and a few details about your plans. We'll confirm availability, send you our packages, and help you choose your coverage. A signed contract and a 30% retainer secure your date.
