For most brides, few things are more memorable than the day they say ‘I do.’ That said, if there is one thing that comes close, it’s the day they say ‘I will.”

Most proposals are characterized by joy and romance; but when is the best time to pop the question? According to a recent survey, the vast majority of men choose Christmas.

After polling 7,000 men and women about their attitudes toward wedding proposals, the wedding planning website, Chilisauce revealed that:

  • Most men preferred to propose during the holiday season, with 32 percent saying they either did or would propose on Christmas Eve.
  • Just after Christmas, Valentine’s Day was the most popular time to get down on one knee. According to Chilisauce, 30 percent of all respondents believed the day of love offered an ideal time to pop the big question.
  • While 13 percent of respondents targeted Christmas Day as the best time to propose, 9 percent preferred New Year’s Eve and 5 percent preferred New Year’s Day.

Retaining the Memory

Most women love to tell stories about how their husbands or fiancés proposed. Unfortunately, these monumental moments are usually resigned to memories. On the other hand, wedding days are different. A quality, reputable wedding photographer has the ability to capture the beauty and essence of a wedding, so couples can relive all the important emotions and moments decades down the line.

With that being said, not all photographers have the ability to capture a wedding as it actually occurred. Too often, photographers snap photos that appear too choreographed. Instead of looking natural, subjects appear stiff and awkward and the photographs fail to properly capture the true spirit and unique beauty of the day.

At HDC Photo, our experienced, knowledgeable wedding photographers blend technical photography expertise with emotions and feelings to create photos that capture the true, unique essence of your ceremony. To learn more, contact our office today.
