People usually say that love stories should be like in fairy tales. But what does that mean? Girls being princesses and men riding on white horses? In my opinion it means that real love stories have no end, no matter what. The World could be about to explode and you will always feel safe in the arms of the love of your life.
Once you meet real love nothing else is important anymore. You have a soulmate to share your feelings with. You are now ready to face whatever comes. Now you are two against everything. Getting married is having your own family, your own team. Now and always, you will have your own squad ready to fight for you.
‘…Justin and I met in 2010 through a mutual friend. We were both very shy so she told both of us that we wanted each other’s number! Eventually we ended up dating and the rest was history.’
Let me tell you this beautiful story. It is not a fairy tale, but trust me, you are going to feel like it is. Once in Orlando, two souls became one. Justin had the biggest plan of his life, turning family vacation into the adventure of a lifetime.
‘…I am a huge Harry Potter fan and my favorite place is Harry Potter World at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl. What I thought was going to be a weekend vacation just the two of us, ended up being the best weekend of my life. Justin planned the entire surprise and had my parents, my best friend, and our friends there too. He proposed on the bridge overlooking the Hogwarts Castle and it was a moment I’ll never forget. ’
Mikala always remembers the exact moment where she felt they were ready to start their own crew for life. You must ask yourselves ‘how is it like to write the first page of your personal fairy tale?’. We all do. It’s the most normal sensation once you start planning the rest of your life, as they did. Since that day nothing was the same. Mikala & Justin dreamed about their perfect day. So, they decided to go big or go home, and Hard Rock Los Cabos was the perfect spot to take the first step into this
amazing walk towards a new life.
‘…We had visited Cabo the year prior and knew that we loved the beauty of it. We actually never even considered another location!’
‘Magical’, that is the perfect word to describe the wedding they both dreamed of. And, trust me, it was. It happened on August 6th, 2020. The sunny day became the perfect scene to celebrate love with friends and family. I asked Mikala if she had a way to describe how she felt on their perfect day and she couldn’t have had a better answer: ‘Bliss’ along with this photo:
And their special song for the day was “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. So from now on, every time they hear it, Mikala and Justin will feel bliss again.
‘I love you today, tomorrow, and forever’ is the phrase she picked and is always going to represent their wedding day.
So, you just close your eyes, breathe deeply and when you open them you see everything you have been dreaming your entire life. Your perfect moment is right in front of you.
‘Walking to the location with my mom, dad, and maid of honor holding my dress knowing that the moment I had waited for my entire life was about to happen in a matter of minutes.’
Finally, I asked Mikala to choose her favorite photo, but she said she truly cannot pick just one.
‘You guys did an excellent job. You were helpful, patient, and made us feel so comfortable and we enjoyed every bit of it!’
For sure we will remember this amazing couple forever.
We are not just a photography & film team. We are people with feelings, dreams and stories. We collect moments and we are made up of a little bit of each person who has passed through our lives. We are every couple and family that we have captured. We simply fill ourselves with each of those stories and moments that we have told through our lenses.
We are ready to collect more of those memories with you and your special ones. We love helping people to write the first page of their own love story. And so, we hope to be part of your memories too.
With love, the HDCPhoto team.
