Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you know your travel dates. One to four weeks ahead is usually enough, but family trips cluster around school holidays and Christmas, and those weeks fill first. If you are travelling with a large group, tell us early: coordinating eight or more people is much easier when we can pick the calmest hour of the day for you rather than the only one left.

How long does a family session last?

One hour works for most families. Two hours are the better choice from about eight people upwards, or when there are small children who need a break between setups. With a large group, the first hour goes mostly on getting everyone in the same frame at the same time, and the second is what buys you the relaxed pictures afterwards.

How many outfit changes can we bring?

Whatever you want to bring. What is worth knowing is that a change of clothes takes longer with a family than with a couple: with children it can easily be twenty minutes, and that comes out of your session. If you want two looks with a group, the two-hour session is what makes it comfortable rather than a race.

Do we need to know how to pose?

Not at all. We guide your family throughout the session with simple, natural direction so everyone knows where to stand, what to do, and how to feel comfortable. We make time for the classic portraits, but we also encourage movement, play, laughter, and small interactions so the photos feel relaxed and true to your family.

How many photos will we receive?

Between 25 and 100 edited photos, depending on how long a session you book. With larger families we make a point of checking that everyone appears in the final selection, not only in the group photographs, so grandparents and children each end up with pictures of their own. Everything arrives in a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads.
