If you’re exploring options for your destination wedding The Live Aqua might be the right pick for you. Its modern design, chic luxury aesthetic, and tranquil vibes make it a top contender. It is located just 40 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport. Its smaller size compared to many Punta Cana resorts ensures personalized service and a welcoming ambiance for your wedding celebration week!

This resort definitely ranks high on the list of our favorite wedding resorts to capture photos at and the main reason is their beautiful ceremony locations. You can choose from 3 different venues: Beachfront, Lush Gardens, or the Terrance.
With the Beachfront location, you can exchange vows with the ocean as your backdrop, surrounded by soft white sand. If you are dreaming of a sunset beach wedding, this location is for you!
The Lush Gardens offer a more tranquil space surrounded by tropical greenery, and calming fountains and is perfect for an intimate ceremony. If you have a small guest list this might be better suited for you!
The Terrace is an elegant setting overlooking the resort’s pools. This provides a more modern and romantic ambiance! If you have a larger wedding party and want a more luxurious feel to your ceremony this location is perfect!
Reception Locations
For the reception, you can choose between 3 options: beachfront dining and dance, a poolside celebration, or an indoor ballroom. You cannot go wrong with any of these options but if you are looking for an outdoor celebration in the warm tropical air under the Caribbean stars, I would opt for the poolside or beachfront reception options. Both are incredibly romantic and offer a fun ambiance for your celebration. You did come all the way to the Dominican Republic to get married, make the most of it, and host your party outdoors!
Now, this may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a more formal celebration and you are worried about your guests enduring the tropical heat, the indoor ballroom might be better suited for you. This option comes with air conditioning and gives a more sophisticated feel! All three options make for an incredible experience you and your guests will not forget!
Wedding Packages at Live Aqua
Live Aqua offers a variety of wedding packages tailored to suit your style, guest count, and budget. If you have a small elopement in mind for your big day or a grand celebration, they can accommodate you.

Vendor Fees
Now it is worth noting that like all Punta Cana Resorts, Live Aqua does charge a vendor fee. A vendor fee is a charge the hotel applies to the wedding couple for bringing in outside professionals like hair and makeup artists, officiants, and—yes—your photographer and videographer. These fees can range from a reasonable $250 or the cost of a Day Pass to a downright shocking amount of over $1,000. Some resorts charge per vendor, while others charge per person, so costs can add up quickly if you’re hiring multiple vendors of your choice.
From our experience, the Live Aqua is certainly on the more reasonable end, but again, it’s best to ask your dedicated wedding coordinator early in your planning journey and they can clarify exactly what this is!
A Sneak Peek at Briana & Kevin’s Wedding
Briana and Kevin’s wedding was a beautiful celebration filled with joyful energy. The day began with each of them getting ready, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their excitement and anticipation filled the air as they prepared to see each other and begin the festivities.
